Når vi ønsker at opbygge et klimavenligt samfund, har vi brug for at kende og forstå fakta, dele informationer og tale med hinanden.
Den europæiske klimapagt har til formål at formidle viden om klimaindsatsen, der er videnskabeligt funderet og skaber grundlag for handling. Den skal opbygge et større kendskab til løsninger, der kan inspirere og give ny viden, så de forskellige netværk og lokalsamfund kan øge indsatsen og effekten af tiltagene.
Hvad er målet med aftalen?
- At opbygge et netværk af ambassadører, der går i dialog med andre i lokalsamfundene og i netværk
- At omsætte forskningen til muligheder, der kan implementeres i hverdagen
- At opbygge bedre viden om klimaet og integrere klimaforskningen og løsningerne i uddannelsesprogrammerne
- At aflive klimamyter og modvirke klimaskepsis og misinformation og på den måde støtte tiltag til bekæmpelse af misinformation og handlingsplanen for europæisk demokrati
- At bringe mennesker sammen, der ønsker at udveksle erfaringer og idéer
- At øge kendskabet gennem eksisterende initiativer, der samler forskellige interessenter
