Az európai éghajlati paktum hozzájárul az éghajlat-politikai fellépésekkel kapcsolatos, tudományosan megalapozott ismeretek terjesztéséhez, és kiindulópontul szolgál a cselekvéseinkhez. Inspiráló és tanulságos megoldásokat fog bemutatni, és segíteni fog a hálózatoknak és a közösségeknek, hogy fokozzák tevékenységeiket és felerősítsék azok hatását.
A paktum feladatai
- Nagykövetek kijelölése, akik saját közösségeikben és köreikben fejtenek ki tevékenységet
- A tudományos eredmények átfordítása mindennapi tevékenységekre
- A klímatudatosság előmozdítása, valamint az éghajlattudomány és az általa kínált megoldások beemelése a tantervekbe
- Az éghajlatváltozással kapcsolatos tévhitek eloszlatása, küzdelem a klímaszkepticizmus és a félretájékoztatás ellen, összhangban a dezinformáció elleni küzdelemmel és az európai demokráciáról szóló cselekvési tervvel.
- Közösség összekovácsolása tapasztalatok és ötletek megosztása céljából
- A meglévő többszereplős kezdeményezések felhasználása a tudatosság növelésére
