I’m committed to reclaiming the climate narrative by exposing greenwashing, disinformation, and political backsliding on environmental protection. Through creative events, digital storytelling, and cross-community collaboration, I aim to empower people, especially youth, to take action, speak truth to power, and rebuild a bold, justice-driven climate movement.

I am the Founder of NEA EIRENE, a think tank focused on youth empowerment and sustainability. Currently I am student at the European Master in Human Rights and Democratization at the Global Campus of Human Rights and Public Policy New Voices Europe 2025 at Salzburg Global. I have been a IRENA Peer Educator, Mountaintop Fellow, Transatlantic Inclusion Leadership Network Fellow of the GMF, member of the Youth Advisory Council at Human Impact Institute, and a Max Thabiso Edkins Climate Ambassador. 

I am set to:

1) galvanise highly diverse communities of knowledge and ability with varying degrees of experience towards a greener Europe;

2) empower citizens with tools and toolkits in line with the New European Bauhaus approach;

3) provide them with methods which stimulate common understanding;

4) empower citizens to enable a just transition to food production and waste revalorization with fair access to nutrition options, and

5) create open business models and collaborative systems.

A climate consultant for 2.5 years, I drove impactful decarbonization projects. I now invest in climate tech, dedicated to scaling innovative solutions. My passion extends beyond the professional; I organize climate dinners to foster hope and strengthen the community of people interested in or working on climate. I love writing LinkedIn articles to both learn and educate. Having dedicated my life to tackling climate change, my current focus is on bridging the gap between the global climate scene

There is no doubt that Climate Change is THE GREAT CHALLENGE for our generation and future ones to overcome. Facing the societal transformation that is needed in order to minimise its effects is an urge that must be tackled in our daily lives. As a scientist I deeply value the transformation power that sharing our knowledge among the society has to raise awareness. As ambassador I am aiming to raise awareness by sharing my knowledge while actively push for a change.

Born in Malaga, in the south of Spain, my goal as an ambassador of the Pact is to act as a liaison between the academic, technical, and scientific realms and various social groups. My approach involves utilizing education and communication strategies tailored to the local populace to empower them with a deeper understanding of climate change issues, enabling them to make informed and responsible decisions. My aim is to ensure that all residents of Malaga have access to information about the causes, impacts, and potential solutions to the climate crisis within their immediate surroundings, through tangible, inclusive, and participatory initiatives.

With a background in biology and a master's degree in Ecology and Education, I currently serve as the director of socio-environmental projects at Social Climate, an Andalusian cooperative dedicated to catalyzing social innovation for climate action and justice at both local and international levels. Our efforts encompass economic localization, Nature-based Solutions, environmental education, and responsible tourism.

I believe in people as a fundamental pillar for creating cities with healthy and sustainable DNA, because only people are capable of changing paradigms and betting on technologies with more human sides. I am in love with sport, wellness and health, and for that reason I am the CEO/Founder of a startup based on a health and wellness mobile app, aiming to reduce involuntary sedentary lifestyles and promote the economic revival of cities, hand in hand with local businesses and sustainable mobility.

As a Doctor in Environmental Law with over 20 years of expertise in environmental issues, sustainable development, and smart cities, I drive meaningful change. I work as consultant with global organizations, local authorities and business. I am also the author of "Guía 360º para Ciudades Sostenibles: Cómo lograr la transformación con éxito". As Europea Climate Pact Ambassador, I plan to take concrete climate action in training, education and advocacy in sustainable transformation at local level.

As an Ambassador, I am dedicated to promoting sustainable practices and raising awareness about climate change within my community. My activities will focus on organizing educational workshops and events that engage individuals and local organizations in meaningful discussions about waste management and the circular economy. I aim to inspire collective action, empowering individuals to adopt eco-friendly habits and contribute to a more sustainable future.

I am an economist, data enthusiast, dedicated to transform our world into a healthy systemic sustainable planet with healthy thriving people. More science-based cross-sectoral development and cross-a-lot network, including creativity & craziness. I educate, work with companies & organisations, I share inspirational cases - failures & success & yet not known-result processes that have in common to reduce negative planetary impact. I ask questions, help, support positive social tipping points etc.

I am the founder of Purple Pepper, a mission-driven consultancy supporting companies in measuring and reducing their carbon footprint. As a speaker and mentor within the Climate Reality Project, I deliver talks and workshops across France to make climate change understandable and actionable. As a Pact Ambassador, I aim to connect local changemakers and inspire collective action.

I am an environmental policy professional, with long years of experience in national and EU environment policies. I have served as parliamentary secretary of the Bulgarian Ministry of Environment and Water for a cumulative period of seven years before setting out to an entrepreneurial career as project developer for green projects related to RES, green hydrogen, climate adaptation and mitigation. I have a strong track-record of bringing EU and international solutions to the local level.

I am deeply committed to combating climate change and promoting sustainability through education and advocacy. As a Climate Pact Ambassador, I aim to leverage my legal expertise, environmental audit skills, and academic background in environmental law to drive positive change. My activities will include creating educational content and videos, organising workshops, and collaborating with schools and communities to raise awareness on climate issues. By engaging with diverse audiences and fostering dialogue, I aspire to inspire meaningful action and contribute to a more sustainable future for our planet.

Ioana Petrescu is President of Pur si Simplu Verde, an environmental NGO, and a European Climate Pact Ambassador in Romania. She directs the Center for Leadership and Innovation at SNSPA, Bucharest, where her research spans space economics and AI regulation. Previously Romania's first female finance minister, Ioana has been a Research Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School’s Ash Center, Mosavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government, and Taubman Center for State and Local Government. With a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard, she contributes to academic journals and newspapers, including her 2017 book on taxation and international relations. Her forthcoming book explores policymaking in adolescent democracies. She currently writes about how firms navigate Just Transition in various countries, the roles of unions in this transition, and about the preparedness of public bodies to implement Just Transition in EU states.
 

I work at Taurage district municipality administration (Lithuania) as an advisor for climate neutral cities.  My thinking is that we all create a city together and therefore we all take collective responsibility for shifting the system towards climate neutrality, for us  today and for future generations. It is an opportunity to co-create the future of the city together. Therefore, my planned activities include creation of a climate neutral city strategy with a focus on stakeholder and citizen engagement as well as creating networks of green city ambassadors, also involving educational institutions as one of the primary role models. 

I am a passionate advocate for climate education and social inclusion. I specialize in using my knowledge of non-formal education and game design to develop alternative methods for teaching people about climate change. By creating interactive tools and serious games, I aim to engage diverse audiences in learning about the impact of environmental issues and encourage them to take meaningful action. My approach blends education with hands-on experiences that make complex topics more accessible.

The urgency for climate friendly behavior is needed today. 

I work for protection of the soil and responsible organic wastes management on site since many years, because of my deep connection and respect towards the soil and nature. 

The compassion of the people towards the climate change is what we need today. The real transformation for action starts from within. 

As an Ambassador, I am on a mission to get everyone involved in taking action against climate change. My plans involve teaming up with local stakeholders to make our communities more eco-friendly, expanding our educational activities at the community garden, and pushing ahead with my project, REPLASTICO2, where I turn plastic waste into cool stuff. I will keep visiting schools and events to share my experiences and insights, and I will be running fun workshops to show people how to reuse plastic in creative ways.

My main goal is to inspire, educate, and ignite a passion for a more environmentally friendly future.
