WeCitizens asbl is dedicated to promoting active citizenship, civic engagement and European awareness. Operating as a citizen laboratory, it combines education, communication and community empowerment to strengthen democratic participation, the social and solidarity economy, and intercultural dialogue. As the operator of the EUROPE DIRECT Centre Luxembourg-Ville and a European Documentation Centre, WeCitizens serves as a trusted source of multilingual and reliable EU information, connecting European institutions with citizens in accessible and engaging ways. 

From its collaborative space, Le Shaker à Impact in Luxembourg-Gare, WeCitizens brings together young people, civil society actors, institutions and residents through workshops, training sessions, games and participatory projects on democracy, European affairs and societal challenges. Its initiatives, including Cosmopolis XXI, Club Europe, La Tribune des Jeunes, Podcast WePod and La Caravane Citoyenne, provide creative and inclusive platforms for dialogue and citizen expression. 

With over eight years of experience, WeCitizens has mobilised thousands of people across Luxembourg and Europe. Its work bridges grassroots participation with institutional cooperation, empowering citizens of all ages and backgrounds – particularly young people – to take part in shaping a more democratic, inclusive and sustainable European future.
