Take the JUMP

Take the jump by trying six shifts to protect our Earth and live a simpler, more meaningful and fulfilling life.

Our society is driven by consumption which has a negative impact on the planet and creates a constant circle of frustration for the population to buy and own more.

Take the JUMP aims to move to a world of less goods and more joy, where humanity is in balance with nature by achieving a two-thirds reduction in the impact of consumption in rich countries by 2030

The JUMP is for anyone worried about the state of nature but not necessarily experts. Anyone looking for constructive, positive and impactful steps we can take in our own lives can try the six shifts below for one, three or six months.

  1. End clutter: keep electronic products for at least seven years.
  2. Travel fresh: if you can, stop using your personal vehicle.
  3. Eat green: move to a mostly plant-based diet, avoid food waste and eat reasonable amounts.
  4. Dress retro: buy maximum three new items of clothing per year.
  5. Holiday local: only take a flight once every three years.
  6. Change the system: take at least one life shift to nudge the system.

Even if you can’t keep to it 100%, you can still try and just do what you can. Take the JUMP community offers tips, encouragement and people you can speak to help along the way.
