Switch off, speak up: 5 ways to get involved in Earth Hour 2021

Small actions can have a huge impact – even something as simple as turning off the lights.

Every year on the last Saturday of March, millions of people around the world switch off their lights in solidarity for Earth Hour - a time to shine the spotlight on the challenges our planet is facing and the power of collective action.

Even though this year many of us are confined to our homes, there are still ways to come together, get involved and speak up for our planet.

Switch on: Wherever you are, this Saturday at 20.30 your local time switch off your lights and switch on your phone or your laptop to connect with other people around the world who care for our planet. This year Earth Hour is all about staying in touch.

Speak up: Talking about it won’t directly reduce your carbon footprint but it’s actually one of the most powerful things you can do. Let your friends, family and colleagues know what is important for you and why – and maybe they’ll join you in speaking up next time.
