Description

The ability of CO2 as a serious greenhouse gas to significantly change the world's climate was already predicted at the beginning of the 20th century. Today, we know significantly more, more precisely and with more certainty. In the workshop we will discuss how greenhouse gases are measured and calculated. And also, to open the background, from which assumptions and data it is possible to reach one or another conclusion to reach.
But more than that - what is left out of accounting and what do the positive-sounding distant future climate goals mean in reality?
The event will take place in Tartu city university library. The workshop will be conducted by University of Tartu researcher and climate activist Madis Vasser and the after and before the event Climate Pact coordinaator Riin Kaldma will talk about CP and pledging. There will be posters and a roll-up of Climate Pact and pledging.
