Cities has a key role in the Green Transition. They have a protagonist role in climate change. While cities occupy only about 3% of the earth's surface, more than half of the world's population resides in them.
They are responsible for a huge carbon footprint. At the same time, cities consume more than 2/3 of the world's energy and represent more than 70% of global greenhouse gas emissions. So thus they are at high risk from the devastating effects of the climate crisis.
Since the role and contribution of cities is evolving into an intense dialogue with citizen participation in the European debate on climate policies, we will talk how we can transform our cities in green and sustainable cities.
We will focus on "City 15" and if it is the answer for a better life for city dwellers.
