Is a Climate Walk which will take place in the footsteps of the Ilissos River which is one of the two rivers of Athens that originates from the north-western slopes of Ymittos and passing southeast through the basin of Attica ends up in Faliric Bay.We will focus on the importance of the element of water in human health, on its critical role in maintaining the natural environment and ecosystems. However, in addition to its enormous ecological importance, we will also mention its contribution as an economic resource.Agriculture, industry and energy require huge amounts of water to produce food, products and energy. Finally, we will emphasize and analyze the utilization of the water element and the creation of blue routes within the urban web in the effort to build modern resilient and sustainable cities to deal with climate change. Our main goal is highlight that the protection of water is necessary and the correct management - consumption or the recycling and sustainable water management could help reduce the impact of human activity on the environment.
