Fundación Ecología y Desarrollo (ECODES) is a non-profit organisation that has been working for 30 years to unite public bodies, the private sector, and civil society in accelerating the transition towards a carbon-neutral, inclusive, and responsible economy. ECODES aligns its efforts with the UN’s Paris Agreement and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), seeking to achieve these objectives through innovative approaches, partnerships, and transformative actions.

ECODES focuses on three key areas:

  • promoting effective regulatory frameworks in sectors like mobility, building, and energy;
  • fostering a greener market by encouraging sustainable goods, services, and socially responsible investment models;
  • driving behavioural, social, and cultural shifts toward more sustainable lifestyles.

Its main fields of activity include:

  • climate action (carbon footprint reduction and engagement);
  • energy and people (combating energy poverty and promoting energy efficiency);
  • sustainability culture (responsible consumption and production);
  • advocacy and climate governance (decarbonisation of key sectors);
  • international outreach, particularly in Latin America.
