Act For Tomorrow, established in 2018, is an environmental organisation that promotes sustainable ways of life. It collaborates with national entities, public institutions, companies, and NGOs alike to develop programs and projects focussing on environmental education, waste collection and recycling, circular economy, water protection, afforestation and community development. In doing so, its mission is to foster and promote a culture of civic and social responsibility among citizens.
Currently, Act For Tomorrow operates 5 key programs, including:
- GreenACT: Focuses on building a waste-free world through educational projects, clean-up actions, and promoting sustainable event organisation in Romania.
- WaterACT: Addresses water pollution by organising clean-up actions along Romanian waters using innovative technologies.
- PlantACT: Aims to create new forests in Romania, especially in areas lacking forest coverage and prone to desertification and landslides.
- CircularACT: Focuses on resource conservation by repurposing items such as furniture, clothes, and toys for donation to vulnerable communities.
- CommunityACT: Provides financial support to small NGOs and public institutions to develop social responsibility projects through the Start ONG Program.
