I am the Climate Change Mitigation Manager in AWorld. In AWorld, the official platform of the ACT NOW campaign of the United Nations aimed at empowering citizens in climate action, I deal with all climate/carbon related issues. I am often a speaker at events organised by both non-profit and for-profit organisations where I share scientifically-sound information which can inform and influence change in our unsustainable lifestyles and decision-making. I have started using my social media with the same goal. Coming for academia, my main purpose in life is to incrase the accessibility of environmental, ecological and climate knowledge to everyone, ensuring the delivery of reliable and scientific concepts in simple and accessible language.

My name is Dima. I was born in Latvia, but been living in many different countries in Europe since.

I am musician, scuba diver, video maker and environmentalist. After making a career in music I devoted myself fully to the nature protection. I have became vegan in 2008 after watching documentary "Earthlings". That is when I recognised the power of video camera. Since then I have been volunteering for environment restoration, nature and wildlife protection with many different organisations and projects.

Now I use the super power of the camera to change the values of our society. I would love to see a world when planting a tree is more "cool" than a new Iphone. I think biodiversity is magic, and we need not only to preserve it, but also make it thrive. That is my aim for the future, to volunteer more, to make more videos and never stop!

I plan to take a "glocal" approach, working for climate action at the local level and communicating my knowledge about European and International green policies. On the one hand, my interest is to share knowledge about European policies on the environment, climate action and sustainability with my networks (Opino Juris readers and Instagram profile). On the other hand, I want to continue to promote projects with our association and local community, from waste collection to nature care to education on various initiatives, including EU initiatives. My goal is to promote EU initiatives and policies and make them accessible to citizens. I want citizens to be aware and motivated to act.

In meiner Rolle als Botschafter setze ich mich leidenschaftlich für die Stärkung des Umweltbewusstseins, Nachhaltigkeit und die Entwicklung neuer Ansätze in den Bereichen Recycling, Konsum, Mobilität und Energie ein. Meine geplanten Aktivitäten umfassen Kooperationen, Workshops und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit um Menschen verschiedenen Alters und sozialer Herkunft zu erreichen und für Umweltthemen zu begeistern. Ich möchte Raum für Dialoge über Umweltfragen schaffen, um verschiedene Perspektiven und Ansichten einzubeziehen um gemeinsam Lösungen zu entwickeln. Besonders wichtig ist mir dabei die Einbindung von Senioren um ihr Verständnis für den Klimawandel zu vertiefen und selbst aktiv einen Beitrag zum Umweltschutz zu leisten. Gleichzeitig möchte ich aufzeigen, wie auch Menschen mit niedrigem Einkommen nachhaltiger leben können, ohne dabei ihre finanzielle Belastung zu erhöhen. Ein weiteres zentrales Thema ist die Integration von Umweltbildung als Teil des Lehrplans in den Schulalltag.

Translation - In my role as an ambassador, I am passionate about raising environmental awareness, sustainability and developing new approaches in the areas of recycling, consumption, mobility and energy. My planned activities include collaborations, workshops and public relations work to reach people of different ages and social backgrounds and get them excited about environmental issues. I want to create space for dialog on environmental issues, to include different perspectives and views in order to develop solutions together. It is particularly important to me to involve senior citizens in order to deepen their understanding of climate change and to make an active contribution to environmental protection themselves. At the same time, I want to show how people on low incomes can live more sustainably without increasing their financial burden. Another key issue is the integration of environmental education as part of the school curriculum.

I'm a philosopher and I decided to take action against climate change starting with school students. My projects aim to make young students (ages 12-13) aware of the strong power they have in taking action against climate change, influencing parents and friends. I started from two schools in Abruzzo, Italy, but I want my project to be an example to others. 

Some years ago, I also started working with the University of Ferrara on Circular Economy projects, in order to find the best way to communicate how to change the process of industrialization into a new approach, eco-design for example. The entrepreneurs do not immediately understand how useful it is to reduce gas emissions, reduce waste, etc... until they connect it to the advantage that being carbon-free is directly linked to better living, a better future for us all, and also an increased value of the brand.

University Researchers are a unique and rich source of information that can be applied with success to solve the problems of the companies. Together they are a great team to face the new challenges of this ecological transition and not only.

As a musician and member of Music Declares Emergency Germany, I believe that music with its extraordinary ability to connect people on a deep, emotional level, should be a vehicle to unite us on the issue of the climate crisis. It's an issue that truly is everyone's concern and should be treated as such. With so many powers attempting to divide our society these days, it's even more important that we all - no matter the profession - do our part in fighting for climate justice.

I am a Policy Advisor Sustainability & Climate at the Museum Association NL. As a European Climate Pact Ambassador, I am dedicated to connecting (cultural) professionals and bridging the knowledge gap in sustainability practices. I aim to improve climate literacy, justice and accessibility by organizing events and discussions that unite diverse voices. By promoting collective action and sharing best practices, I strive to inspire meaningful change and embed sustainability into people's mindset.

ICT teacher with 25 years of experience, including 12 years as headmaster at the 2nd Gymnasium of Nafpaktos, eTwinning ambassador, and coordinator of Erasmus projects on environment, STEM, technology, and culture. My goal is to establish a youth council dedicated to environmental issues, leveraging the region’s natural advantages to engage youth in sustainability and climate awareness.

As a Climate Pact Ambassador, I am dedicated to raising awareness and fostering action on climate adaptation, energy transition, and sustainable transport. As a former Research Engineer in Green Traction at Alstom and a PhD candidate at Gustave Eiffel University, my work focused on the global energy transition of rail transport, evaluating decarbonized alternatives (electric, hydrogen, batteries, biofuels). Beyond my research work, I served as the 2024 Coordinator of the Energy Transition taskforce within the ANRT, focusing on the technological challenges of adapting to climate change as part of France's National Energy Research Strategy.

I’m a Ph.D. student in Sustainable Development and an SDG Educator certified by the German Ministry. I founded the NGOs Green Dreams and EduKlimaLab, through which I have engaged and empowered more than 3,000 young people in Peru and Germany. I advocate for the SDGs globally, have been recognized at the One Young World Summit, and served as Coordinating Ambassador for South America.

As an ambassador, I want the work that I do to be amplified. I want to have more youth organisations and young people in general involved in climate discussions. From workshops, to protests, to academic reports, to localised actions that could be proposed by youth organisations themselves, I want to keep the discussion going and for those discussions to be transformed into actions by those who have the power to make true change.

I am a dedicated advocate for climate action and sustainability. As a European Climate Pact Ambassador, I am committed to making a positive impact on the environment and my minority community. My primary focus is on organising educational workshops, where I aim to inspire and educate the next generation about the importance of sustainable living and climate responsibility. Through engaging presentations, informative articles, and interactive workshops, I will empower participants to take concrete steps towards a greener future. Together, we'll work towards a more sustainable, climate-conscious Europe.

Leaving behind a career in public administration on the European level, I have moved back to rural Romania. With a background in rural development policy and focusing on economic and social aspects, I had to realize that environmental conditions such as severe droughts and access to water is often becoming the primary challenge for the rural population. As a Climate Pact Ambassador I would like to raise awareness about nature-based solutions available and affordable even for small communities. 

I am the general director of the Bioparc Aquarium of Gijón. An institution that has more than 200,000 vistitors each year and that has three very clear objectives: conservation, research and dissemination. From my position in the company, I am very aware of the necessary fight against climate change. We collaborate with more than 30 educational and research institutions. I am a member of the animal welfare committee of Gijón City Council and I am a trustee of the Bioparc Foundation. 

I am a 27-year-old ICT teacher, leading "Mladi za Đakovo," and actively engaged in local NGOs. As a Climate Pact ambassador, I will promote climate education in schools, establish a community eco-center, and partner with NGOs for tree-planting, waste reduction, and clean-up projects. I will also advocate for sustainable urban planning and green infrastructure in Đakovo, aiming to showcase our city as a model of climate action within the European Climate Pact network.

I am a dedicated advocate for transforming the fashion industry towards sustainability. With a passion for creating a positive impact, my vision is to be at the forefront of change, raising my voice and pioneering initiatives to reshape the fashion landscape. I am committed to promoting sustainable practices through active engagement, leveraging my role to make a change throughout all levels globally. I aim to contribute to a liveable world for future generations. 

My aim is to reach out to all people who are believing in God and his creation from a christian perspective under consideration of preservation of all beings. My main target groups are all people who are living in a church community, the dean`s, pastor`s, youth groups, the church based environmental officer`s, complete church districts as well as bishops and the church managament and the NGO I am working with. My motivation is based in the oecumenical peace movement in the former GDR.

I am an environmental and urban sociologist focused on climate, sustainability, and governance, emphasizing urban responses to climate change. Aware that young people will face these challenges, I aim to equip them with the tools for navigating urban sustainability. As a European Climate Pact Ambassador, I will leverage my network's communication channels for awareness-raising, integrating discussions on climate initiatives into my courses while engaging students, practitioners, and policymakers.
