With a Ph.D. in Ocean Sciences, I am currently working on unraveling the intricate journey of natural methane emissions in a warming world. My job as a scientist, together with my deep connection to nature and belief in the transformative power of knowledge, drive my fervent advocacy for scientific literacy and sustainability.

My passion lies in translating intricate scientific facts into compelling narratives that resonate with both academic and non-academic audiences. I especially focus on crafting relatable content in my native languages (Spanish and Catalan) to overcome language barriers in science communication.

As a climate ambassador, I am committed to disseminating the importance of natural methane emissions in the context of global warming. I aspire to bridge the gap between climate change and seemingly unrelated aspects of our daily lives, making such connections more evident. Finally, I plan to actively engage citizens in capturing and sharing the tangible effects of climate.

Reaching climate neutrality in Europe by 2050 requires investing in new sustainable business models, skills and change behaviour in all sectors, with more innovative, resilient, circular and responsible approach.

In line with SDG 13 (Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impact) of the UN Agenda 2030, "All tourism stakeholders should play a leading role in the global response to climate change, by reducing its carbon footprint, in the transport and accommodation sectors".

I am a university student of economics with a great passion for social and environmental sustainability. I always like to remain informed and bring sustainability into my everyday life. With the aim of sharing my knowledge, I contribute to "The Path Of Fashion", an online platform with the purpose of raising awareness about the impact of the fashion industry. In this capacity I write articles, interview sustainable businesses and share information on related social media about the importance of conscious consumption.

I am a researcher in Italy in the field of educational research for INDIRE (National Institute of Documentation, Innovation and Educational Research). I am a trainer for public school teachers with Maria Chiara Pettenati in the field of sustainable development. I am an expert in educational methodology and I have proposed with the sociologist Giuseppe Losacco the methodology of Visual Didactic Activism (VDA), an adequate and new methodology for dealing with environmental and social issues.

I am a nature lover, biologist and climate change specialist. At Climathon, I have worked to create a networking space between citizens and public and private entities. From Fridays for Future, I have empowered youth to take action for the climate. I propose to create my own Instagram account to raise awareness and educate about climate change, sharing local actions. In addition, I want to organise a community event with talks, workshops and interactive activities uniting various associations.

I’m Director for European Partnerships & Head of office, World Resources Institute, a global think & do tank. With our research-based approaches, we work to meet people’s needs, protect nature, & stabilise the climate.

As European Climate Pact Ambassador, I will leverage my experience working at national, EU & global levels to drive climate action in my network & beyond. Through expert workshops & events, I will connect different stakeholders to break the silos & inspire systemic change.

As a European Climate Pact Ambassador, I focus on inspiring action and supporting governments, businesses, and communities in implementing meaningful climate solutions. My role spans across sectors, aiming to ensure that climate ambitions lead to practical, equitable outcomes. I am committed to advancing a fair transition, ensuring that no one is left behind as we work toward sustainability.

I engage with policymakers at all levels to contribute to the development of robust climate policies that address both environmental and social challenges. Additionally, I collaborate with businesses to integrate sustainability into their operations, fostering long-term positive impacts. At the community level, I aim to create spaces where citizens can actively participate in shaping climate conversations and solutions.

Through speaking engagements, events, and initiatives like Climate Breakfasts, I facilitate dialogue and collaboration across sectors. My goal is to build bridges between diverse groups, encouraging collective efforts that lead to a climate-resilient and sustainable future for all. Over the coming year, I aim to deepen these connections, working toward stronger climate policies and increased collaboration.

I am the co-founder & managing director of Faircado a green tech company making our economies more circular, and of Solidartsy, a social non-profit empowering women artists. I am also a climate activist at Generation Climate Europe, lobbying for stronger climate regulation at a EU level. I am a member of the Greentech Alliance and Leader for Climate Action. I am originally from Belgium, now living in Berlin, where I dedicate my life to building a better, fairer, greener future for our planet.

Activist and Student. Combining these two, I am the Co-Founder and President of Studenti Attivisti, a local student organisation that promotes critical thinking amongst youths. Besides my achievements, the thing I am most proud of is my passion for activism, as it is the main tool for changing the world. 

From 1987 to 2023, I was a weather forecaster and weatherman for VRT. I am retired, but weather and climate still keep me busy all day.

I have a successful website www.frankdeboosere.be with hundreds of weather and climate pages. I write for "Het Nieuwsblad". 

I have a weekly podcast "Meer weer". I give talks about climate change and am consulted very often as a weather and climate expert.

I am the founder of a non-profit dedicated to ocean conservation, organising workshops and keynotes to raise awareness of the critical threats facing our oceans. As a marine biology student, I aim to bridge the gap between scientific research and public understanding, focusing on actionable solutions for climate change and marine protection. As a Climate Pact Ambassador, I am committed to closing the knowledge gap and driving tangible actions to help protect our oceans.

As energy consultant I have been reducing the energy demand of thousands of buildings. I did many lectures for the public and students at our University (Thermography Building Simulation etc.) But this is not enough. We have to think big. So I am working on a project to use digital tools to push the transformations needed to reach the Paris Agreement and the Agenda 2030.

As manager of SmartShip I work on daily basis on designing and building ships that are traveling 100% and only on the solar panels on board of the ship. So our ships are completely durable, traveling autonomously on their own solar energy. As a European Climate Pact Ambassador, I intend to promote emission-free and sustainable transport over water, both for freight transport (short chain) and for public transport (recreational). I also regularly share my knowledge on sustainability to our youth.

I am an urban planner, activist, and researcher in Public Policies, connecting Territorial Planning, Urban Food Systems, and Local Development, researcher at the FCSH -  Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and affiliated to CICS.NOVA.

I co-founded the national network Feeding Sustainable Cities (2018), a knowledge dissemination network that brings together more than 550 members of the Portuguese food system. In 2022 a core group of the network founded ACSA–Alimentar Cidades Sustentáveis Associação, a national non-profit organisation which I am honoured to be the leader of.

As a European Climate Pact Ambassador, I want to raise urban planners’ awareness of the need to integrate better food and agriculture related measures into Climate Strategies and Plans. As part of the awareness campaign, I will hold workshops in the school of architecture and planning and develop two publications to be available online both in Portuguese and English: Manual for food planners; Guidelines for Food Campaigners Champions.

I am driven by reason in this mission, as science proved decades ago that the way humans live has to change to ensure humanity will prevail, and the time is short.

I believe sustainable innovation will bring real change.

I am well aware of the central role of food systems in the climate crisis. 

I intend to make knowledge more easily available to users in the food chain and approach different groups (as engineers) to discuss issues, raise awareness and help connecting networks 

Climate change mitigation and adaptation, at the policy level and as regards new technologies and sustainable finance, lie at the core of the work I am engaged. I work with a variety of stakeholders forging synergies and mainstreaming the Green Deal, ESG/Sustainable Finance and the UN Agenda 2030 values. Showcasing the climate activities I organise and participate in through the European Climate Pact will create more impact and promote these concepts and values to larger audiences across geographies and different fields.

I have been a climate activist for fifteen years. I am involved in the field of information and school education on the issues of decarbonisation and ecological transition. I also take care of sharing information and promoting environmental sustainability among the politicians of the area where I live. I have been an environmental activist since 2019, helping associations in Italy fight against conventional waste management and in favour of the implementation of 'zero waste' practices. After completing my Environment and Business degree in the United Kingdom in 2021, I have worked on sustainability-related projects for a London-based communication agency before joining the European Commission in October 2022. Since then, I have been helping DG CLIMA communicate EU climate action to stakeholders and the wider public. During my first months in Brussels, I launched The Earth Society, a network of current and former European Commission trainees interested in sustainability and climate action. The aim of this initiative is to encourage as many young minds as possible to take action to protect our planet and make our society fairer and greener. As a Climate Pact ambassador, my aim is to expand this network as much as possible, and increase its positive impact on society.

I share my knowledge on climate change and sustainable development during trainings, webinars, conferences and in articles. I have conducted a number of original workshops on ESG, circular economy, Zero Waste. I am also a moderator of Climate Fresk. I work mainly for the hotel industry (although not exclusively), where I initiated events such as Hotel Earth Week (organized for 4 years) or the catalog of good practices CSRwhotelu.pl.
