Iliyana Semerdzhieva

I am a young person who cares deeply about the environment and the forms of life that Earth has been sustaining for billions of years. I have decided that one of my personal and professional missions will be acting for a more sustainable world. With a Master in Ecology, experience working on projects at the European Institute Foundation and a strong desire to be a change-maker, I am committed to making my contribution towards a more aware, climate literate and nature conscious human society.

I believe with my activities as a Climate Pact Ambassador, I will be able to lay the foundations for a bridge between the needs of the planet that scientists fight for and the needs of the people who feel left behind and deprived of justice. My planned activities are concentrated on interactions with young people, public discussions with citizens from remote regions, and curbing disinformation by creating a climate-focused fact-check with the support of the Bulgarian National Radio.
