Greek Eco Project is a non-profit organisation based in Thessaloniki dedicated to promoting sustainability, environmental education and active citizenship. It strives to create meaningful, science-based impact through collaboration, research and community engagement.
The organisation has a growing community of over 100 members, supported by a large network of volunteers working together to protect and restore the environment through innovative, inclusive and participatory actions.
Its mission is to reconnect people with the natural world, foster respect for nature, educate young people, and inspire care for the Earth through practical initiatives. Activities include underwater and coastal clean-ups, environmental workshops on upcycling and circular economy, urban park greening and restoration, tree planting, and the protection and care of Natura 2000 sites. All actions are open to anyone passionate about the environment and willing to actively contribute to positive change.
Greek Eco Project collaborates with a wide range of stakeholders, including municipalities, schools, companies, research institutes, non-governmental organisations and individual volunteers. Through these partnerships, it ensures that its initiatives are impactful, inclusive, and aligned with local and European environmental goals.
