FEDARENE

FEDARENE is the leading European network uniting regions, energy agencies, and islands committed to advancing sustainable energy policies and initiatives at the regional and local level. Since its inception in 1990, FEDARENE has played a pivotal role in fostering collaboration across Europe towards a shared goal of transitioning to clean and efficient energy. With over 80 members representing 24 European countries, the association draws upon the expertise of more than 850 experts across the Union.

FEDARENE's primary mission is to drive the energy transition through a focus on energy efficiency and renewables. Acting as the voice of regions in Brussels, FEDARENE serves as a liaison between local and regional authorities and European institutions, advocating for the needs of its members at the European level and translating EU policy developments into actionable measures.

Through EU projects, policy advocacy, and communication efforts, FEDARENE promotes successful initiatives and facilitates the development of transnational projects aimed at furthering the clean energy transition across Europe.
