Responsibilities
I am a public manager, with training in transport economics gained through assignments and research at the chair of Transport Economics at the University of Pisa. Since 1999 I have been working at the Port Authority of Livorno, the first Port Authority established in Italy which has become a real test bed for innovation activities in the digital field and ecological transition.
Since 2008 I have been director with regional, national and European level roles relating to ports and logistics in the fields of Strategic Planning, Research and Development, Digital, ecological and energy transition.
In terms of innovation and digital transition, I have promoted and coordinated programmes of activities and lead projects in the Italian port and logistics system that have received national and international recognition: SMAU, "Innovation Award 2016"; Recognition for the "Sustainable Development Goals and Smart Port" initiative - Global Solutions Forum 09/25/2019 Columbia University.
