Many people across Europe are passionate about climate action and making a positive impact on our society – and we are here to highlight those captured moments!
The Climate Pact photo competition is showcasing the different kinds of climate action taking place around us – at home, in the community, and in cities – all of which is making Europe more sustainable for the future.
Ten winners will be chosen – nine by an expert jury and one by YOU!

How can I vote?
Visit our digital gallery to see the submitted photos showcasing climate action at home, in the community and in cities.
Click each photo enlarge it and read the accompanying caption, which describes the captured moment and why this particular action for the climate makes the photographer proud or passionate.
Then, vote for your favourite photo and caption!
Everyone has one vote. The photo with the most votes will win the public choice award.
Voting closes on Friday 9 August 2024, at 18:00 CEST.

Prizes
The 10 winners (1 selected in the public vote) will:
- be invited to the EU Climate Pact annual event in Brussels in 2025, with travel and accommodation covered
- have their winning photo featured in two exhibitions: at the EU Hub at COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, and the Pact annual event in Brussels
- receive a digital certificate
- be featured across the Climate Pact's digital platforms.
The four first-place winners (main winner per category + public vote winner) will be featured in an international media campaign.
Why a photo competition?
The European Climate Pact is a movement of people taking steps to build a more sustainable Europe. It’s a place to learn about climate change, develop and implement solutions, and connect with others for an even bigger impact.
Through the photo challenge, we hope to:
- shine a light on climate change and its impacts
- recognise the climate action that is being taken all around us
- inspire you with creative ways to act for the climate
- drive change across Europe
