The German Network for Sustainable Business (BAUM e.V.) is committed to promoting a future worth living through sustainable business practices. Founded in 1984, it now has over 800 members and is a prominent voice for sustainable business at both national and European level, as well as a driving force for the social-ecological market economy.
BAUM supports companies in their transformation by helping them develop and implement sustainability strategies and by connecting stakeholders from business, politics, science, the media and civil society. Its flagship initiatives include the Business for Climate (Wirtschaft pro Klima) initiative, the SDG Scouts programme, and the annual BAUM Environment and Sustainability Award.
Other key areas of work include sustainable finance, sustainable mobility, and biodiversity and ecosystem protection.
