Faculty of Design

The Faculty of Design (FD) is an independent higher education institution dedicated to advancing sustainable design, innovation and development of the creative industries. Its mission is to educate responsible, future-oriented designers and creative professionals capable of contributing to the green and digital transition through design thinking, sustainability and cross-sector collaboration. 

The Faculty offers undergraduate (BAA) and postgraduate (MA) programmes in interior design, visual communications, fashion and textiles, and design management, with a strong emphasis on circular economy principles, material responsibility and ethical innovation. In addition to education, FD is actively engaged in applied research, EU-funded projects, knowledge transfer and collaboration with industry and local communities to foster design-driven innovation and sustainable growth. 

The Faculty organises several flagship initiatives – including Urban October/World Habitat Days, GoinGreenGlobal Design Week and the A.L.I.C.E. international scientific conference – which promote climate awareness, green skills and creative collaboration within the field of design and design management. 

FD is a member of international networks such as the World Design Organization (WDO), the Cumulus Association, the Pact for Skills, the New European Bauhaus (NEB) and the European Association for Architectural Education (EAAE).
