Fab City Foundation is a non-profit organisation driving the global transition towards locally productive and globally connected cities. It empowers communities and local authorities to co-design, create and regenerate urban environments, helping to build more sustainable, inclusive and climate-resilient cities.

The Foundation leads the global Fab City initiative through projects in social innovation, urban research and education. It coordinates a network of forward-thinking cities, organises the annual Fab City Summit with local partners, and develops strategic research on new urban models, including the Fab City Full Stack and the shift from PITO to DIDO (data-in, data-out) systems.

Its long-term vision is for cities to produce most of what they consume. Through research projects, training courses, international networks and public events, Fab City Foundation identifies and shares best practices in smart cities, green innovation, digital transformation and community-led development. These insights are translated into practical case studies and tools that cities and regions can adopt within and beyond its network.
