Ecological Manifesto (ManEco)

Ecological Manifesto (ManEco) is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation based in Sofia, Bulgaria working to advance climate education, sustainability and civic engagement. Founded in 2018, ManEco’s mission is to empower citizens – especially young people – to become active drivers of the green transition through knowledge, creativity and community action. 

The organisation implements educational programmes, workshops and youth exchanges on topics such as climate change, circular economy and responsible consumption. It facilitates tools like Climate Fresk, organises the national Local Conference of Youth (LCOY Bulgaria) under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), and coordinates Social Impact Award Bulgaria, which supports youth teams to develop socially and environmentally innovative ventures. 

ManEco engages a wide network of stakeholders including schools, universities, municipalities, non-governmental organisations, businesses and EU institutions, fostering cross-sector collaboration for sustainability. Its efforts align with the European Climate Pact’s goals of raising awareness, inspiring climate action and building inclusive, resilient communities across Europe.
