The Cluster of Bioeconomy and Environment of Western Macedonia (CluBE) is a non-profit innovation cluster based in Kozani, Greece, driving the region’s green and digital transition through research, capacity building and multilevel collaboration.
CluBE's mission is to foster sustainable development, circular bioeconomy, clean energy and climate action across the regional innovation ecosystem, bringing together businesses, academia, public authorities and civil society. It also supports Kozani’s objective of achieving climate neutrality by 2030 under the EU Mission on Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities, in which it has played a key coordinating role.
The organisation implements regional research and innovation projects, and delivers a wide range of educational programmes on renewable energy, hydrogen, bio-based products and environmental awareness, acting as a catalyst for the post-lignite just transition.
A flagship initiative is the region's Climate Community, which connects citizens, schools and organisations in collective action for a more resilient, inclusive and climate-neutral future.
