Climato Sfera

Climato Sfera is a non-profit association founded in 2021 in Romania, bringing together volunteers and professionals from diverse fields to foster sustainable communities and raise awareness of climate change. Its mission is to empower citizens, institutions, and organisations to take meaningful action towards climate neutrality through education, advocacy and practical projects. 

The organisation designs and delivers more than ten interactive workshops based on gamification and serious games, including Climate Fresk and 2Tonnes, as well as original formats like Climate Conference and Catch the Sun. These activities are complemented by ambassador programmes for citizens, companies and public officials, helping different groups become active multipliers of change. 

Alongside its educational work, Climato Sfera runs concrete initiatives such as OPEN Garden (urban agriculture), the Compost Academy (community composting) and Green Campus (urban regeneration). It also organises Greentopia, a festival dedicated to climate creativity, connecting culture and sustainability. 

Climato Sfera collaborates with schools, universities, companies, non-governmental organisations, grassroots communities and public authorities. At European level, it contributes to projects such as ReGreeneration (Horizon 2020) and UrbanWise (NetZeroCities), working with municipalities, research institutes and civil society to strengthen participatory planning, ecological education and citizen engagement.
