On World Environment Day 2026, the Water4EU Conference brings together youth, decision-makers, and experts to champion water as a fundamental right, turning dialogue into action for climate justice and more sustainable, equitable communities.

On June 5, 2026, marking World Environment Day, the National Water4EU Conference will take place at the Romanian Parliament, bringing together around 70 participants for a dynamic dialogue between youth and decision-makers. The event focuses on a key message: access to drinking water is a right, not a privilege, especially in the context of climate change. Through panels, structured dialogues, and interactive workshops, participants will work towards concrete solutions for equitable water access, sustainable public policies, and stronger youth engagement in their communities. The conference also celebrates two years of the “Thirsty for Solutions” campaign, respectively now the KA154 project, and highlights the Water4EU Manifesto (water4.eu), promoting free access to drinking water in public spaces across Europe.
