Dévaványa’s annual Car-Free Day is organised as part of European Mobility Week. The event promotes cycling and other active, sustainable modes of transport while strengthening community engagement. The programme includes family-friendly and awareness-raising activities throughout the day, as well as information and activity stands.
The event concludes with a community bike ride through the town. Tree value boards will be placed during the day by the Climate Pact Ambassador to the town’s significant and notable trees; Ambassadors will give a short presentation on the value of urban trees by one of the trees.
A Climate Pact "conversation bench" at the event, where participants will have the opportunity to discuss sustainability, climate adaptation and biodiversity issues. Ambassadors join the community bike-ride together with the mayor to raise awareness on sustainable mobility.
