SCHOOL WORKSHOP ON CLIMATE CHANGE is a forum for young people from Battipaglia's various schools to foster information exchange on the topic of climate change; young people's perspectives on environmental issues and their proposals for public policies; a way to increase knowledge and awareness of the risks facing our region and, with it, our planet; an opportunity to foster and facilitate dialogue on environmental issues, the contents of the PNRR, and the sustainable development of the 2030 Agenda.
It is aimed at middle school students and high school students in the Battipaglia area, as well as teachers for educational activities.
The theme for the 2026 program will be: "Soil, Forests and a Focus on Africa."
The two planned workshops will address the following topics: soil and forests which are of great importance in the fight against climate change.
The fifth edition of the School Workshop on Climate Change will also be an opportunity to shine a spotlight on the African continent, which is being severely tested by the consequences of ongoing climate change, particularly its social impact on its population.
The African continent will be described, through firsthand accounts, as it grapples with the environmental and social transformations linked to climate change.
