Satellite event: Workshop Manifesto Por Um Seixal + Verde

Seixal+Verde is an environmental association based in Portugal that launched a participatory initiative, organized in partnership with the European Climate Pact.

The goal is to encourage residents in the municipality of Seixal to share their main challenges and, based on their feedback, propose concrete solutions to improve public transport services, reduce car dependency in the municipality, enhance the environmental quality of the area, and encourage greater civic participation in these matters.

All these proposals will be organized in a Manifesto. The association has been launching questions on its social media, asking for citizens to submit their comments and suggestions.

On the 20th of September, there will be a debate organized around 4 main topics: mobility, food, energy, and climate action/education for sustainability.

The final text of the "Manifesto for a Greener Seixal" will be debated and approved in a public session on September 20 and sent to all local candidates running in the October 12th local elections in Portugal. It is designed to support decisions during the next political mandate, regardless of the outcome of the elections.
