Satellite event: Sustainable Cities- connecting civic actions to sustainable urban planning in Bucharest

The event is an interactive initiative focused on promoting discussions about green, smart and people-oriented cities. It is organized as a side event under the umbrella of Climate Change Summit in Bucharest. It brings together individuals interested in civic engagement, urban sustainability and community development.

The program includes a guided tour through Piața Amzei and Calea Victoriei, organized in collaboration with “Străzi pentru Oameni/Streets for People” highlighting aspects of urban development and civic participation. In addition, workshops and idea-sharing sessions are held to explore ways to transform Bucharest into a more sustainable and smart city.

Objectives of the event: To promote civic initiatives focused on climate action and smart city development. To identify and develop solutions for a fair and sustainable urban transition. To connect young people and other interested participants in building sustainable and engaged communities.
