Satellite event: Perspectives on the Energy Transition in Luxembourg

Join us on January 25th at the Chambre des métiers (Grand Hall) for the insightful event, "Perspectives on the Energy Transition in Luxembourg" presented by the European Climate Pact and organised by CELL.

Scientific: University of Luxembourg - Overview and facts/numbers on the energy situation

Institutional: the instruments of the Klima-Agence in Luxembourg

Citizen: European Climate Pact & how citizens can engage to be active in energy transition

Official ceremony of the Ambassadors

Direct engagement and capacity-building through interactive workshops on energy transition solutions and strategies.

Objectives:

Present formally the European Climate Pact - with the official ceremony of the Ambassadors - inspiring other citizens to take action

Bring different stakeholders together to exchange perspectives on the energy transition & its solutions

Offer open space workshops for citizens - to increase awareness and capacities around the energy transition

Program:

The program kicks off at 6.30 pm with an introduction to the evening by Dr. Alex Redinger, associate professor and researcher at the University of Luxembourg who will present an overview of Luxembourg's energy situation in the context of global warming and the ecological transition.

The program will be followed by interventions from the Director of the Klima-Agence, Fenn Faber and the Director of Consulting & Services of the Chambre des Métiers, Gilles Reding, discussing existing instruments for the energy transition and the pivotal role of SMEs in the current energy transition.

The evening will continue with the swearing-in ceremony of the European Climate Pact ambassadors by the Deputy Head of Representation, Dennis Wernerus of the European Commission in Luxembourg.

During the second part of the evening, participants will be able to engage in a workshop moderated by the university researcher Alex Redinger.

Drinks & Networking after the event to further discuss and connect with like-minded individuals passionate about driving positive change in Luxembourg's energy landscape.
