Cities are on the front line of tackling climate change and the economic fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic. From Heidelberg to Stockholm, European mayors and city leaders are leading on important and innovative solutions to build back stronger, healthier, greener and more equitable societies.
Engaging business, citizens and non-state actors will be critical to delivering on the EU’s climate ambition and cities have a key role to play in the European Climate Pact mobilising local stakeholders to participate in the transition towards a climate-neutral society.
Bloomberg Philanthropies, Bloomberg Associates and the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy – the largest global alliance for city climate leadership – are supporting cities as they design roadmaps for a strong and just economic recovery.
