The event, that will take place during the manifestation "Monza_Paesaggio Week... more than a philosophy" organized by the Monza Municipality, offers four walks along the city banks of the Lambro River. The two walks in the morning and afternoon, organized by the FAI Delegation of Monza, the Lambro Lucente River Landscape Observatory and EuCliPa.IT, an association of ambassadors of the European Climate Pact and citizens, will have the meeting point at the Arengario, in the center of the city, and then wind along the city stretch of the Lambro and Lambretto, a secondary branch of the river.
The walks will focus on two distinct themes closely related to each other: the environmental one, with attention to the influence of the climate on the Lambro, the state of water quality and the biodiversity of the river; and the historical/landscape one, addressed to the important role that the presence of the Lambro has had for the city, but which has and can have even more for the quality of life of the populations of the surrounding area. The walks also include historical and cultural illustrations on the bridges that cross the watercourse.
The purpose of the event is to propose in an attractive and engaging way a rapprochement with the Lambro, to help increase the care and attention to the watercourse, but also to increase awareness of the ecosystem services of this common good.
