This event will begin with a brief lecture by Jeff Goodell, tailored for an audience well-versed in climate and energy issues. Following the lecture, there will be an interactive question-and-answer session, providing attendees with the opportunity to delve deeper into the themes explored in Goodell’s latest book, The Heat Will Kill You First: Life and Death on a Scorched Planet. The book, recently translated and published in Portuguese as O Calor é que te vai matar by Lua de Papel, has been recognised as one of the top books of 2023.
The session will offer a platform to discuss the urgent challenges posed by climate change, as well as the insights and implications presented in Goodell's work. This event aims to foster a deeper understanding of these critical issues among those already engaged in the field.
