Description
Taking place on Tuesday October 11, the half-day Summit will explore the potential of technology, and Google, to support climate action.
Google is in its third decade of climate action. Our operations have been carbon neutral since 2007 and, since 2017, we’ve matched 100% of electricity use with renewables. We’re now focused on achieving net zero emissions across our operations and value chain by 2030 and on building technology that allows us, partners and individuals to take meaningful action.
The summit is not focused on only showcasing the heritage of Sustainability@Google, but to create genuine debate and engagement between important stakeholders about a range of subjects beginning with asking the big question 'Is digital technology a solution or problem to climate action', and covering big topics such as energy, the circular economy, cities and transport.
