Satellite event: Gmunden Climate Protection Award

Since 2024, the Gmunden Climate Protection Award has recognized individuals, organizations, and stakeholders at the community level for outstanding projects and innovative contributions to climate protection and adaptation. The award is presented in four main categories, plus one special category: 

1. Individuals 
2. Small businesses 
3. Non-profit organizations 
4. Educational institutions + "Public’s Favorite" – determined through online voting open until 02/02/25. 

The event will feature: 

1. A keynote on Cradle-to-Cradle by Dr. Steffi Hufnagl 
2. Insights into the European Climate Pact by Ambassador Dr. Ulrike Feichtinger 
3. The award ceremony, hosted by Mayor Stefan Krapf and Vice Mayor Ulrike Feichtinger 

The evening will be covered by a local TV station, the bi-monthly communal magazine, newspapers, and social media channels.
