Satellite event: EUth for Climate Action

To celebrate Europe Day (9 May), we invite Lithuanian schools to take part in a special educational activity focusing on citizenship, European values and a sustainable future.

To celebrate Europe Day (9 May), we invite Lithuanian schools to take part in a special educational activity focusing on citizenship, European values and a sustainable future. We organize short interactive sessions with pupils during which we will:

  • Introduce European values, such as freedom, democracy, equality, and respect for human rights, - and their relation to climate change.
  • Talk about Europe's common efforts to tackle Climate Change, and introduce European Climate Pact.
  • Discuss with students what their school is already doing and could do for sustainability.
  • Encourage pupils to create their own 'green/climate clubs' - independent school climate action groups

Choice of formats:

  1. Live visit to your school (6-13 May, Vilnius and Kaunas cities) (optimal number of participants: up to 30).
  2. Remote meeting for schools from other areas.

The visits will be led by the Coordinator of the European Climate Pact Ambassadors in Lithuania and/or Climate Pact Ambassadors (depending on the agreed time and the availability of the Ambassadors). If your school would like to participate, please register by emailing ltateuclimatepact [dot] eu (lt[at]euclimatepact[dot]eu)

We will contact you with timing, format and other details. The number of visits is limited, so if you are interested, please do not delay your registration.

We look forward to meeting your students and working together to create a greener, more conscious Europe.
