The event will contribute to raise awareness on the EU Climate Pact and the EU Adaptatiom Mission, celebrating the choice of Valencia as the EU Green Capital. It is part of the Climate Summit taking place in Valencia the week of 25 to 28 June. It will consist of a public part in the morning and a private discussion among Ambassadors in the afternoon. The opening will be made by a representative of the Valencia City Council and the Deputy General Director of DG CLIMA, Elina Bardram, followed by a presentation of the EU Adaptation Mission and the EU Climate Pact by Ambassadors. Two round tables on climate action at local level will follow: one with mayors and one with Ambassadors with experience in public local action. The meeting will provide the opportunity for the young representatives of the Valencia Climate Assembly to present its main conclusions. The impact of the recent European Elections on the European Green Deal will also be discussed among Ambassadors. The meeting will conclude with a classical concert of piano and violin with the participation of Gema Arias Varela (piano) and Bartu Elvi-Oszoy (Violin and Ambassador)
