Description
In this event we will discuss how the European Climate Pact can be an opportunity for the economic and social recovery in Catalonia (Spain) after the Covid-19 pandemic. Cleaner air quality, healthier water and food, effective waste management, smart mobility and greener neighborhoods and cities not only will reduce the vulnerability of communities to pandemics and improve resilience, but have the potential to boost economic activity, generate income, create jobs, and reduce inequalities. We will have panelists with a multi-level government approach who can give us a complete perspective in the challenges ahead:
- Javi López, MEP S&D Group
- Jordi Terrades, Member of the Parliament of Catalonia
- Ruth Carrasco, cabinet assistant to Fourth Vice-President of the Government and Minister for Ecological Transition and demographic Challenge
