Satellite event: EU Day for the Victims of the Global Climate Crisis - Commemorative day in Torrent, Valencia

Spanish Ambassadors will gather in Torrent, Valencia, for a commemorative event on July 15.

The day will start with a bus visit to three affected municipalities by DANA (cold drop) in October 2024. The event will continue in Horta Sud's community of municipalities headquarters, where an institutional opening will take place followed by two roundtables, one led by academics who will tackle the consequences of climate change, and the other led by Spanish ambassadors, who will focus on community power/actions during hard times.

The event will be hybrid (especially from 12h to 14.30h, after the municipalities visit) and will commemorate the victims in Valencia, while showing what happened in October 2024 and the reconstruction plans in the affected villages.
