Within the framework of the EUKI supported "Landcare Europe Captures carbon" international cooperation project, the Romanian project partner Agri-Cultura Natura Transylvaniae Association is organizing a farmer training to allow farmers to exchange experience about carbon storing agricultural practices, which could also help farmers to retain more water in the soil through adapted practices. Regenerative agricultural practices, such as no-till, min-till and rotational grazing will be presented by practicing farmers, as well as available support schemes from the Romanian CAP Strategic Plan. The event is open to anyone, but it is organized at a remote location of the Daia Climate adaptation pilot project (Harghita county, Romania) supported by the Communities for Climate EC Initiative with the aim to create synergy by providing further tools to the farmers to retain water in the landscape and address water scarcity problems. Since the target group is the farmer community of Daia and surrounding villages, which is a Hungarian speaking community, the event can be held in Hungarian only. The event will be probably the first of its kind in the region introducing regenerative agricultural practices to farmers.
