Satellite event: Climate Revolution Festival

Second edition of the Climate Revolution Festival is something more than the events series - it is a full-size social movement powered by young people. Between 22nd of April and 24th of May 2025 in Greater Poland there are going to be happening loads of different activities - workshops, debates, educational walks, screenings, location-based games and much more - of which goal is popularisation of reliable climate education and involvement of youth in the environmental matters.Start in Poznań, final in Konin (22-24 of May, 2025) and several dozen cities and municipalities in between - all of them united by shared purpose: building environmental awareness and real influence of young generation on climate policy. Organised in cooperation with UNICEF Poland, WFOŚiGW in Poznań, Earthday.org, Youth & Environment Europe and European Parliament the Festival gains international dimension. During the “European Day” young leaders from different countries are going to, together, create climate recommendations which will be presented during COP in Brazil 

The Festival divides into 6 currents – from science and technology, through arts and health till policy and activism. Thanks to that every participant - regardless of their knowledge or interest - is going to find something for themselves. We also highlight 4 thematic areas - climate (policy, education, activism, challenges), environment (nature, water, biodiversity crisis), energy (nuclear energy, renewables, energy transition), waste (recycling, zero waste, reduction, segregation). What’s more, the events are short and dynamic (up to 45 mins) and are conducted by scientists, specialists, activists and professionals from Poland and the whole Europe. This edition focuses especially on the water crisis and effective climate education advocacy. 

Konin as the final location is no coincidence – it’s a symbolic space of transformation. A city that for decades depended on lignite mining is now becoming a laboratory of green change. In this context, the Festival is not only a celebration of youth engagement but also a step toward a just transition for post-mining regions. Alongside the in-person events, an online stage will also be launched, allowing people from all over Poland to participate. Through a dedicated platform, participants will be able to join webinars, Q&A panels, and climate simulations.

The Climate Revolution shows that change starts locally but can have global consequences. If we want to talk about the future, we need to start by giving young people a voice. At this festival, they are not guests – they are the hosts.
