Satellite event: Circular tourism services to mitigate climate impact in the tourism ecosystem: showcasing best practices at transnational level

In the framework of the EU sustainable tourism strategy 2026 (not yet published), enhancing competitiveness and advancing climate resilience are considered key political priorities, also focusing on Climate adaptation and sustainability funding. It is important to create a new narrative and new set of KPIs for better measuring the carbon footprint and CO2 emissions, especially from the private sector/business to manage climate crisis based on data driven.

This EU Climate Pact satellite event, linked to the EU Climate Pact (the climate flagship project of the European Commission), will showcase concrete examples (from theory to practice) of circular tourism services provided by tourism SMEs across Europe, involved in the EU co-financed project TRACE (Transition towards a European circular tourism ecosystem). The event aims to create interdisciplinary synergies and fruitful exchanges.
