Satellite event: Briefing on the status of EU’s Climate and Environmental Policy

European youth and the European Environment Agency (EEA) host a briefing on the status of the EU’s Climate and Environmental Policy for the youth of Europe, cf. attached invitation.

The briefing is online, allowing youth from across the EU to participate. It will take place on:

Monday, June 3rd, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM CEST

As part of the briefing, you will learn about:

  1. The progress Europe has made towards its goal of being climate-neutral by 2050, and what is needed to achieve this. This includes discussions on the European Green Deal, the 2030 targets, the agricultural sector’s contribution, and the upcoming 2040 targets.
  2. The current state of Europe’s environment and the impact of environmental issues on other policy areas. This will cover the connection between nature and agriculture, the EU’s biodiversity goals, the impact of pollution on health and the environment, and the challenges facing the EU’s water resources.
