Conferences and summits

The II Małopolska Climate, Circular Economy and Air Quality Congress is a two-day event bringing together representatives of local and regional authorities, public administration, academia, business and non-governmental organisations to discuss environmental challenges and practical solutions for sustainable regional development.

The event combines expert presentations, panel discussions, knowledge-sharing sessions and opportunities for networking and exchanging good practices. Its main objective is to strengthen cooperation between different stakeholders and translate environmental knowledge into concrete actions to support climate protection, improve air quality and promote the circular economy.

The key topics include:

  • Circular economy: sustainable resource management, waste prevention and management, food waste reduction, eco-innovation and the development of circular business models.
  • Climate and energy transition: renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, energy communities and financing sustainable energy investments.
  • Air quality and environmental protection: measures to reduce air pollution, improve air quality and support the transition towards a low-emission economy.
  • Climate change adaptation: water retention, blue-green infrastructure, urban greenery, reducing the urban heat island effect and strengthening the resilience of cities and municipalities to climate impacts.

The congress aims to facilitate dialogue between policymakers, experts and practitioners, showcase effective solutions and good practices, encourage partnerships and support the implementation of regional climate and environmental policies. It provides a platform for discussing innovative approaches and identifying practical measures that can be implemented by local authorities and other stakeholders to create a greener, healthier and more climate-resilient Małopolska region.
