In this upcoming webinar of the NECSTouR Climate Hub, we will explore climate adaptation in tourism through a practical and destination-focused perspective.
The session will showcase useful resources for Regional Tourism Authorities and DMOs, alongside inspiring examples of climate adaptation initiatives being implemented across European tourism destinations. Through two case study presentations and a dedicated peer-exchange session, participants will gain valuable insights into how destinations are addressing the impacts of climate change on tourism.
The webinar will feature experiences from Lower Saxony (Germany) and Slovenia, highlighting challenges, approaches and lessons learned.
Our speakers will be:
- Robert Wenzel, Head of Sustainability, Tourismus Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony, Germany)
- Maja Turnšek, Associate Professor, University of Maribor Faculty of Tourism (Slovenia)
The webinar will also provide an overview of practical resources available to destination practitioners, including recent publications and tools developed through EU-funded projects, as well as relevant guidance and resources from the European Commission and other organisations.
Have you implemented an inspiring climate adaptation practice in your region or organisation?
During the webinar, you will have the opportunity to share your experiences through a dedicated digital tool, helping to inspire and learn from one another.
