We will be screening *Welcome to Sodom*, followed by a Q&A session with the film's director. The film offers a striking look at a vast electronic waste site in Accra, Ghana, often referred to by local residents as “Sodom.”
As one of the world's largest destinations for discarded computers, mobile phones, and other electronic waste, it serves as the end point of a global consumption cycle.
The documentary provides a powerful portrait of the people who live and work there, revealing how a complex and unexpected economy has emerged around the processing and recovery of e-waste, while raising important questions about global consumption, environmental responsibility, and social inequality.
