The organizations RADI DOT and Eco Baltia Vide are opening the first Library of Things and item exchange point in Carnikava, Latvia creating a community space where people can borrow, share and give everyday items a longer and more meaningful life.
This initiative reflects the values of RADI DOT as a partner of the European Climate Pact, promoting greener thinking, responsible consumption and community collaboration. Instead of buying new items that are used only occasionally, residents will have the opportunity to share tools, equipment and other useful objects.
By extending the lifespan of items and encouraging sharing, the Library of Things helps reduce unnecessary consumption, prevent waste and support more sustainable everyday habits.
At the same time, it strengthens local community connections by creating a place where people can meet, exchange ideas and learn from one another. The opening of the Library of Things in Carnikava, Latvia is a small but meaningful step toward a more circular, resource-wise and climate friendly way of living.
