Discover the world of seaweed with three passionate women who are, in their own way, bringing these vegetables of the sea back into fashion. As part of a unique sailing tour accompanying the documentary, this preview screening will be attended by co-director Julien Challandes and one of the film’s protagonists, Malaury Morin. The tour will stop in seven locations, welcoming around 100 participants at each screening, for an estimated total audience of 700 people.
Beyond showcasing an inspiring story, the event aims to raise awareness of the relationship between food choices and climate change, highlighting the role of plant-based diets as a powerful lever for behavioural change. By presenting algae-based cuisine as a nutritious, delicious, and low-carbon alternative, the documentary offers a positive and innovative perspective on more sustainable consumption habits.
The event will also increase public awareness of the Climate Pact by demonstrating tangible climate solutions, from seaweed-based food systems to sustainable maritime transport. The sailing tour itself embodies the film’s message, illustrating how respect for planetary boundaries and lower-carbon mobility can be integrated into real-world action.
