This European Climate Pact satellite event engages citizens, researchers, energy experts, public authorities and civil society organisations in a discussion on the role of hydropower in Europe’s climate-neutral energy transition.
The event highlights how existing hydropower infrastructure can contribute to climate mitigation through increased efficiency, circular economy approaches and environmentally responsible refurbishment. Complex technical topics are presented in an accessible way to encourage informed public discussion and understanding.
By fostering dialogue between experts and citizens, the workshop supports climate awareness, informed decision-making and community engagement on renewable energy and sustainable energy systems.
