Hotel Earth Week 2026

Hotel Earth Week (HEW) is a nationwide educational and environmental initiative for the hotel industry, aimed at promoting sustainable development, responsible tourism, and practical environmental initiatives in accommodations. 

The event is based on an open and engaging format – hotels actively participate by publishing photos of their authentic pro-ecological activities (both special events and everyday practices) on their social media and tagging them with the shared hashtag #HotelEarthWeek2026. This allows for mutual inspiration and building a conscious, transparent image of the industry. 

The event takes place annually around International Earth Day. In 2026, Hotel Earth Week is scheduled for April 20–24. The initiators of Hotel Earth Week are Karol Weber (Hotel Inspector), a hospitality expert, and Agata Delmaczyńska (Green Officer), a sustainability expert. The initiative was created to inspire accommodations to take real environmental actions and demonstrate that ecological responsibility can go hand in hand with modern management, service quality, and business development. 

As part of the initiative, hotels undertake a variety of activities, such as cleaning up green spaces and public spaces, planting trees, educational initiatives for guests and employees, and implementing solutions that reduce the environmental impact of hotel operations. For six years, the event has united hotels, experts, hotel schools, and partners around a common idea – demonstrating that real pro-environmental actions can go hand in hand with business efficiency, service quality, and building a competitive advantage. 

The main event of Hotel Earth Week is an online conference, which serves as the culmination of the initiative. During the webinar, hoteliers will learn about current circular solutions, green initiatives, and trends related to sustainable development in tourism. It also provides a platform for presenting best practices from the industry. 

This year's conference is scheduled for April 22nd. Honorary patronage (European Climate Pact, Polish Chamber of Commerce of the Hotel Industry) and media patronage (Hotel Management, Horeca Business Club, Polish Hoteliers, Turn on Savings, Ecoekonomia) provides crucial support for our mission to build a more sustainable hotel sector in Poland.
